Inside Claudeforce: Uniting Salesforce Data With Claude AI

Claudeforce Salesforce Claude integration marks a significant expansion of the strategic partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic, bringing together each company’s core strengths to reshape how enterprise workflows operate.

The integration combines Claude’s advanced reasoning capabilities with Salesforce’s enterprise infrastructure, aiming to make data, workflows, business logic, actions, and governance securely accessible to power agentic AI experiences across entire workspaces.

Salesforce and Anthropic’s Shared Vision

“We’re bringing together the world’s #1 AI and #1 CRM, the best of both worlds,” said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. “Today, we’re launching Claudeforce, running directly on top of Salesforce via our new AIforce UI harness, Headless 360, Data 360, Tableau and Slack.”

Benioff explained the underlying philosophy behind the integration, noting that neither AI reasoning nor structured enterprise systems alone can fully power a business. “Probabilistic intelligence alone doesn’t run a company and deterministic systems don’t reason,” he said. “By fusing Claude’s extraordinary reasoning with the trusted data, workflows and governance every enterprise runs on, we’re delivering a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons and acts. This is how every business will run.”

Four Key Integration Pillars

The Claudeforce Salesforce Claude partnership operates across four main integration areas. Salesforce inside Claude offers 37 pre-built sales skills through a dedicated plugin, allowing sellers to review pipeline details, conduct deal health assessments, and prepare for meetings, with setup requiring only a single administrator connection for centralized team access.

Claude inside Salesforce sees Claude functioning as the reasoning model powering the Atlas Reasoning Engine, driving both Agentforce Vibes and Agentforce Coworker by default, while remaining accessible within Agent Builder. Through Amazon Bedrock, organizations can deploy Claude within Salesforce’s Trust Boundary to maintain strict data security standards.

Slack workspace collaboration positions Claude as the default model across Slack, powering Slackbot for individual productivity while supporting team decisions through Claude Tag and serving as a founding partner for Slack Code. Finally, mutual enterprise technology adoption sees both companies actively using each other’s products internally, with Salesforce running Claude across Slack AI and its own engineering organization, while Anthropic uses Salesforce as its preferred CRM platform.

The technology connecting these systems is AIforce, an enterprise harness that brings business data and workflows to external AI agents through Model Context Protocol servers, APIs, and CLI tools, eliminating the need for complex custom integrations.

How Platform Security and Trust Are Maintained

Trust remains central to how Claudeforce Salesforce Claude operates at scale. As enterprise workflows shift away from static screens toward flexible conversational interfaces, maintaining user engagement and platform trust becomes increasingly important. Shannon Mathews, VP of Product Management at Salesforce, explained that the broader opportunity lies in making software genuinely more useful across every workspace where people actually choose to work.

“Engagement is better than ever and our opportunity is to make Salesforce more useful by making it accessible wherever people choose to work,” Mathews said, noting that platform usage has surged sixfold through MCP calls according to the company’s most recent earnings report.

Addressing security specifically, Mathews emphasized that trust is built directly into the architecture rather than added afterward. “Every answer and every action runs through your existing Salesforce permissions and business rules,” she said. “Claude sees only what a given user is authorised to see and can only do what that user is authorised to do.” She added that every write-back to Salesforce remains grounded in rich business context and requires user confirmation.

Mathews also explained why pairing an LLM with a deterministic system matters so much for enterprise use. “An LLM on its own has extraordinary intelligence and reasoning capabilities. Paired with a deterministic core, like Salesforce’s trusted data, workflows and governance, it becomes something enterprises can take action on,” she said. “Claudeforce unifies these two strengths so that Claude can reason, act and get work done with the trust and accuracy from Salesforce.”

The Numbers Behind Salesforce’s AI Growth

Recent earnings data underscores just how rapidly the strategy behind Claudeforce Salesforce Claude is scaling. Annual recurring revenue from Salesforce’s core AI and data products reached nearly $3.9 billion. Growing more than 210% year-over-year. Agentforce, Salesforce’s platform for deploying autonomous AI agents, saw annual recurring revenue exceed $1.5 billion after growing more than 240% year-over-year.

Automated tasks completed by AI agents across Agentforce and Slack reached 7 billion total, with 3.2 billion of those delivered during the second quarter alone. Active users of Slackbot grew by more than 150% quarter-over-quarter, while Data 360 processed 82 trillion records through Zero Copy connections, marking a 731% surge and allowing AI models to analyze external data without needing to copy it first.

What’s Next for Claudeforce

Mathews described a broader shift underway in enterprise software design. “For decades, enterprise software required users to manually navigate static interfaces to get work done,” she said. “In the agentic AI era, the interface becomes more flexible, while Salesforce remains the trusted system powering the data, governance, workflows, business logic and permissions underneath it.”

Salesforce in Claude is currently available to a select group of pilot customers, with a broader open beta launch expected in September 2026 and additional pre-built skills planned for late 2026. Internally, the Claude-powered Slackbot has already delivered 8.1 million hours of annualized productivity gains across Salesforce’s own teams, offering an early indication of the kind of impact the broader Claudeforce Salesforce Claude rollout could have across enterprise customers more widely.
